N-Cat (en-kat) n. (from "N" meaning a scale in model railroading and "cat" abbr. for catenary, or overhead system of power collection for electric locomotives) Specifically applied to that branch of the NTrak modular layout system that employs an overhead wire for locomotive current collection.
Our modelers belong to a loose-knit organization begun by Hal Riegger, and others to promote this area of model railroading.
The organization was formed to promote catenary modeling in N-scale by building modules, establishing specifications for catenary operation in N-scale and the free exchange of information to help others interested in operating electric locomotives in "N".
